Showcasing some of the best speed on Team Wisconsin, OF Braylen White (Brown Deer, 2025) provided an upside look in his week of play in Georgia. While the bat continues to develop and improve in a 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame, other aspects of his game stand out. White ran a 6.54-second 60-yard dash, the fastest on Team Wisconsin and within the top-15 on the national stage. That trait played on the diamond, especially in the outfield, where he locked down multiple positions with steady defensive play. The arm reached 82 mph from the outfield, summarizing a quality week for White. The stock continues to rise for White after a quality showing in Georgia, as he currently sits as Wisconsin’s No. 35 ranked prospect in the 2025 class.

PBR Future Games: OF Braylen White (Brown Deer, 2025) is one of the state’s top athlete’s and during Wednesday’s workout he showed why. Listed at a lean 5-foot-11, 160-pounds White started off his day by marking a 6.54 in the 60-yard dash, which was the lowest for Team Wisconsin and put him inside of the top-12 for the entire event. He then took a controlled round of BP from the right-side, utilizing a spray approach to work gap-to-gap. While we haven’t seen this week yet, White’s speed is certainly a tool he uses in game as he is consistently a menace on the basepaths, too.

During BP White showed quality feel for the barrel as he was able to consistently drive balls in the air to the pullside. Defensively playing an athletic outfield, White’s athleticism is put on display as he fields through the baseball with a quick release throwing 81 mph on his hardest bullet to home.

He then went on to take a polished round of BP, working short to the ball with quick hands and staying up the middle of the field. White’s premium athleticism is very apparent while in the outfield, as we have seen him cover a lot of ground during live gameplay, and he topped at 82 mph on his throws from the outfield.

White is a high-capacity, dynamic athlete in Wisconsin’s freshman class, starting his day off with an elite 6.55 time in the 60-yard dash. In the box, White offers an interesting look. He works from open to slightly closed and swings with a higher slot and quick hands, finishing the barrel with some violence with a strong plant leg. White repeated line drives to the middle of the field with a knack for repeating flights. During his defensive session, he moved with athleticism, and delivered from a high slot with some arm speed. He gained lots of ground on different plays and worked with clean alignment in transition. White is a blooming outfield name to know and will surely gain lots of interest as folks gain looks on his  maturation process.

Arm: RH.  OF - 81 mph. High slot with arm speed. Accurate to target.
Defense: Athletic actions. Moves well ranging to balls. Gains lots of ground. Energy alignment through the dish.
Run: 6.55 runner in the 60. Highly advanced athlete for age; clean, easy fluid strides that cover ground easily. 

White proved himself to be one of Wisconsin’s most athletic players in its 2025 class with his performance at the Junior Future Games. We’d already witnessed his speed in-game earlier in the summer, but White substantiated that tool during Wednesday’s workout, when he ran a 6.87, which comfortably led the rest of this roster. We quickly learned that White’s trademark speed plays in-game, too, especially out in center field. White is a wiry/strong 5-foot-11, 150-pound athlete with genuine top-of-the-order potential as well. His athletic gait aids him in swiping bases and covering plenty of ground out in the outfield, which we saw for ourselves multiple times as he chased fly balls down in either gap. Offensively, White makes use of his foot speed from a patient approach in the right-handed box. He swings a twitchy bat with a simple line-drive batted-ball profile without swinging and missing much, and that combination allows him to utilize his impact speed more often.

Athletic build on top of a projectable frame. Quick-twitch athlete. Right-handed-hitting outfielder that started in the leadoff spot all four games. Offensively, sets up in a wide stance, short stride trigger, bat travels on a level plane through contact. Showcased his above-average bat speed. On the weekend, he finished 5-for-9, five runs scored, four RBIs, a pair of doubles, and a pair of walks.
