Northern Illinois commit, Sandee does a little bit of everything for the Knights. Sandee went 8-for-12 on the week with three doubles and a triple while driving in five runs and stealing three bases. Sandee is also very aware of the zone drawing five walks in that span. On the mound, Sandee tossed four innings on the week in two appearances, striking out three batters and earning the save against West Bend East.
MIF Nolan Sandee (Nicolet, 2024) has caught the eye of various scouts over the course of the 2023 baseball season, including throughout the WIAA season and into the summer circuit. That earned him an invite to the Top Prospect Games, where the compact 5-foot-9, 165-pound athlete stood out amongst the group of middle infielders. At the plate, Sandee presented a balanced setup, spraying line drives from gap-to-gap, showcasing his ability to insert himself into the leadoff spot on any team. The left-handed hitter has continued to improve his batted ball distance as well, leading the event with an average batted ball distance of 301 feet on Tuesday. Defensively, Sandee’s arm from the shortstop position plays well, as the to-be senior features strength and range, a combination that helped him reach 87 mph and demonstrate his quick feet. Sandee’s all-around quality performance during the showcase portion of the event translated to gameplay, where he finished with two hits and multiple defensive plays at the second base position. A solid showing from the 2024 graduate was a reflection of the past year for Sandee, as he remains one of the top uncommitted prospects in the state.

SS Nolan Sandee (Nicolet, 2024) opened the eyes of our staff by showcasing a great deal of quick twitch and athleticism at the workout on Saturday. Standing a strong and well-proportioned 5-foot-9, 160 pounds, Sandee impressed both with the bat and on defense. Sandee’s short and compact left-handed swing features strong hands that generate bat speed which allowed him to drive balls to both gaps. He further impressed on defense where his first-step quickness allowed him to range far up the middle and deep in the six-hole. Sandee showed plenty of arm strength (87 mph) to indicate that he will be able to stick on the left side. In summary, our staff was thoroughly impressed with his bat, his athleticism, the actions in the infield and strong arm, and firmly solidified himself as one of the biggest winners of this winter so far.
