Abrahamson had an incredible week at the plate, going 12-for-15. He recorded four doubles, one triple, eight RBIs, and one stolen base.

St. Thomas signee. Currently ranked No. 29 in the state’s senior class, standing at a trim and athletic 6-foot, 187-pound frame with strength throughout. Got the start at second and hit leadoff for the Raiders going 2-for-4 on the day with an RBI. Easy strength from the right-handed swing with feel to drive the ball to all parts of the field. Defensively showing athletic and smooth actions in the infield with an accurate arm across the diamond.

+ Former 2024 Future Gamer and University of St. Thomas Commit, 3B/RHP Sam Abrahamson (Hudson, 2026), would show a quality two-way profile on Sunday. The right-handed hitter presented a wider base with a serious feel to hit, above-average barrel control, and natural loft in his bat path. Defensively, the third baseman would show steady actions throughout his defensive round with confident hands and fluid footwork, making throws across the diamond up to 87 mph. On the mound, the right-handed arm would show a hybrid, rocker step delivery with a compact, quick arm path. The fastball would sit 84-85 with life out of the hand and was thrown alongside a 78-80 sinker with late running action and a sharp, late-breaking slider with big two-plane action. One of the cleanest all-around performances was brought by RHP/INF Sam Abrahamson (Hudson, 2026). Listed at an athletic 5-foot-11, 181 pounds with some strength throughout, Abrahamson marked a 6.94 60-yard dash time and also reached a max jump height of 32”, which speaks to his innate athleticism. Offensively, he swung a free and easy bat from the right side that produced exit velocities upwards of 100.7 mph while averaging 87.3 mph throughout his round. On the infield, he is a clean and athletic mover that looks to be able to stick on the infield in the long run. Abrahamson’s ‘pen was also one of the day’s most intriguing. Out of a simple delivery, he ran his fastball up to 87.7 mph with rise and run through the zone. His slider played with gradual 11/5 break in the mid-70s, while flashing sharp break occasionally, too. Rounding out his productive three-pitch mix was a changeup that he effectively killed spin on, while sitting in the low-70s and played with fade, roughly 14” on average.

We are excited about the two-way prospect who is listed at a wiry/strong 6-foot, 170 pounds. Abrahamson has a short, direct swing that produces line drives all over the field, and he was one of the top run-producers for his Minnesota-area travel club this past summer. He displays soft hands in his infield work with a strong and accurate arm. On the mound, Abrahamson has a loose repeatable delivery that works downhill to spots with the fastball. His fastball topped out close to 80 mph but the delivery, body, athleticism, arm speed and feel to pitch indicate more velocity is coming. He also has the feel to land both a breaking ball and a changeup in the zone for strikes, and he has the overall upside that’s earned him a place among this first look at the top-15 in the state.

Abrahamson is another incoming freshman who stood out at this showcase last week. Abrahamson stands 6-foot, 170 pounds, with an athletic build and projection to the frame, showing well as a two-way prospect. A right-handed hitter, he has a consistent centered move through the baseball allowing flat path to deliver the barrel and create loft to all fields. He also showed off an accurate arm with the ability to throw from multiple angles during infield work. On the mound, he deploys a delivery with a high closed tuck, slightly crossfire at landing, and he repeats athletically from a loose high ¾ quarter arm slot. He featured a fastball at 76-78 mph with some natural cut finish to go along with the makings of a quality curveball, 61-63 mph, with depth and a changeup that he throws with intent at 62-66 mph.
