All Colorado Showcase: Quick Hits - 2021 Hitters (3)

LaSalle, COOn May 25, 2020, PBR Colorado enthusiastically welcomed 150+ prospects to the ALL-COLORADO Showcase. 2021’s, 2022’s and 2023’s safely gathered at BigFoot Turf in LaSalle, CO. Today we do a Quick Hits for the 2021 Class of under-recruited Hitters. 

In the days and weeks following this event, we’ve been breaking down the top performances by category, starting with the Class of 2023 Pitchers, the ‘23 Hitters, the ‘22 Hitters, the '22 Pitchers, taking us to today’s topic covers more quality ‘21 Hitters.

By comparison, the 2020 Class had 110 College commitments overall. This 2021 class has 15 commitments at this time. PBR Colorado provides a list of 2021 Hitters worth your time and effort of a follow. Be sure to check out Part 1 and Part 2 of 2021 hitters to follow.

C/OF, Weston Wall (Columbine): RHH versatile athlete. Can Catcher and play other positions. Solid Base as hitter, Middle of field approach. Exit Velo 81 Great Energy as Catcher 

C/OF, Colton Wall (Columbine): RHH Open Stance generates good rear side acceleration and exit velo 90. Timing is good. Good Barrel contact to middle of the field Catcher who can also play other positions 

C/3B, Logan Balfanz (Dakota Ridge): Strong Build with athleticism and quickness Good Rhythm hitter with middle of the field approach Good rear side acceleration. Exit Velo 88 

C/2B, Krece Papierski (Moffat): RHH Crouched stance with good rear side acceleration. Quick bat and middle of the field approach! Solid and consistent barrel contact. Strong behind dish with great feel for receiving. Continues to develop. Strong desire. Exit Velo 93 

C/OF, Nate Nejedlo (Lutheran): Strong RHH. Some length in swing. Demonstrated good contact. Middle to Pull tendency. Exit Velo 99 Good Receiving skills and good transition with throws to 2B Potential. 

OF/3B, Aaron Morgan (Lutheran): RHH Plus speed and strong lower half. Pull side with some lift in swing. Exit Velo 88 Had great BP round in event with consistent barrel contact. Shows athleticism in OF and has ++ arm strength. 

SS/RHP, TJ Rheem, (Chapparal): Shows potential as RHP. A lean RHH with slight lift to swing. Generates good rear side acceleration. Good Path to barrel. Middle to pull tendency Still see growth in strength and skill sets. Exit Velo 89
