PA Class of 2026: Initial Rankings

Ted Williams
Director of Scouting, PA

Looking forward to the 2023 campaign, our staff has gathered an initial list of 20 players for the Class of 2026 PA Rankings. Three of our Top 10 have announced their commitments to either an ACC or SEC school, headlined by RHP Nicholas Bradley (Abington Heights) who verballed to Auburn back in October.

As a whole, the ascending Freshman class is full of budding two-way prospects, power arms, and intriguing athletes. This list will continue to expand and push out further as we get additional eyes on talent during our rigorous high school scouting, showcase events, and tournaments. It’s an ongoing process as always, noting that some players make faster developments than others at this age, and that there could be multiple unranked players we have yet to see.

Nicholas Bradley RHP / 3B / Abington Heights, PA / 2026

Equipped with a longer, mature frame at 6-foot-1, 175lbs and premium arm-talent, the right-handed pitcher works upper-80’s from a smooth delivery. Has reached back for low-90’s with feel to spin a sharp breaking ball, landing a 77-79 mph CH with fading action.

Auburn commit

Andrew Costello C / 3B / Cathedral Prep, PA / 2026

An advanced hit tool continues to flash with physicality on the rise, now listed at 5-foot-10, 190lbs. This summer, the middle-of-the-order threat was a member of the 15U USA National Team at the World Championships, slashing .462/.600/.923 in 8 GP. Consistently gets his swing off with present bat-speed.

Brighton Fontaine RHP / SS / LaSalle College, PA / 2026

An elite rotational athlete with the size and body-control to be a true two-way prospect, Fontaine was a late-June standout at the Jr. PA State Games. The primary pitcher showed power-stuff up to 85 mph, matching success in the box with a 95 mph exit velocity and 367 foot distance.

Kyle Krause RHP / 3B / Mars Area, PA / 2026

Not hard to see the projection with a lengthy, starter’s build at 6-foot-1, 165lbs. Rides the hip-hinge with quick arm-action on the front-side, adding some life to the FB into the mid-80’s (T85 mph). A top-to-bottom curveball generates swing-and-miss, utilizing a low-70’s CH to round out the arsenal.

Virginia commit

Jaidyn Rivera OF / RHP / The Haverford School, PA / 2026

One of the winners from Team PA at the Junior Future Games, Rivera ran a 6.91 60-yard dash and posted a 31+ inch vertical via Swift Performance. There’s natural twitch in the movements out of a lead-off hitting profile with mid-90’s mph exit velocities. Plenty to like on the mound as well, up to 84 mph at 2600+ rpms.

Mike Bruckner SS / RHP / Bethel park, PA / 2026

Fits the prototypical Pittsburgh mold with toughness and raw strength at 6-foot-3, 182lbs. The right-handed hitter put forth a top batting practice round for Team PA at the Junior Future Games, carrying over to multiple extra-base hits vs. quality arms. A T92 mph exit velocity and low-80’s FB show the floor of his abilities.

Owen Beatrice 2B / RHP / North Catholic, PA / 2026

Another upside pick with wiry athleticism at 6-foot, 155lbs, Beatrice seems to be at his best when the lights are turned on. A Team PA member at Lakepoint, the R/R took the mound and shut down Team Georgia in the playoffs for 5 no-hit innings. Grabbed 81 mph on his last pitch and offered similar offensive production with a 92 mph EV.

Chris Peters RHP / RHP / Hazleton Area, PA / 2026

Following in his brother’s path (Kyle Peters/UCONN), the imposing 6-foot-2, 180lb righty has an already similar frame at this age. Was a breakout at the Northeast Pride Fall World Series, challenging hitters with a low-80’s FB (T82 mph) and commanded 67-70 mph CH mix. Much more to come.

Jake Keaser SS / 2B / Springside Chestnut Hill, PA / 2026

As efficient as they come on both sides of the ball, the 5-foot-8, 160-pounder keeps the barrel through the zone for an extended period with some burst in the upper-half. Always attacking defensively, the middle infielder uses rangy footwork to create solid angles and finish throws.

Virginia Tech commit

Jake Bondy 1B / OF / Mid Valley, PA / 2026

The muscular 5-foot-10, 170lb corner infielder features a compact, short-to-long path and high barrel %. Recorded a T94 mph exit velocity (87 mph AVG) at a scout day in June and tacked on a game-winning RBI single in a PBRT we scouted. Still young in the face with strength gains expected.
