Class of 2017 Showcase: Outfield Analysis

By Drew Locascio
Illinois Scouting Director

We began rolling out the Class of 2017 Showcase analysis this week starting with catchers. Today we look at the outfield prospects from the event. Right-handed hitting Easton Bertrand from Manteno and Mike Addante from Jacobs flashed an impressive combination of tools at the event and headline the top outfielders. Left-handed hitting Addante looks to be a true center-field prospect while Bertrand has the ability to play the outfield, third base and the potential to be a middle of the order type bat that can run.

Look for many of the outfielders on this list to make an impact on the next update of 2017 state rankings.
