Class of 2017 Showcase Preview: Hunter Keim

The Class of 2017 Showcase is coming October 18 to The Max in McCook, IL. This event will bring several of the top uncommitted juniors from the state of Illinois to workout. As we lead up to the event, now just over a week away, we will continue to preview several of the top players scheduled to be in attendance.

Scouting Report: 6.21.15 - 6-foot-1, 150-pound, long-limbed right-handed pitcher and shortstop with room to fill out. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with loose arm action. Up tempo delivery with a high leg kick and tall balance point. Fastball sat 78-81 topping out at 83 mph. Curveball showed 12-6 shape at 67-70 mph with tight rotation. Projects for more velocity as begins to fill out. Offensively, hits from an open stance, leg kick stride, dives slightly, repeats short, level swing, line drives from gap-to-gap during batting practice, loose wrists, fluid swing, 83 mph exit velocity off the tee. Defensively, threw 77 mph across the diamond from short, high ¾ arm slot, with accuracy and carry across the diamond.
