The Prep Baseball Report’s Class of 2019 Showcase at Wheaton College - Lee Pfund Stadium in Carol Stream, IL is set to take on place on Tuesday, July 18th, 2017.

Last year’s event featured a number of standout prospects and two of them earned invites to the PBR Future Games. 3B/OF Francois Castillo (Roberto Clemente, 2018) showed athletic defensive actions and a big arm at the event and earned a spot at the 2016 Future Games. Castillo later committed to Eastern Illinois. LHP/OF Kyle Salley (Homewood-Flossmoor, 2018) also earned an invite to the 2016 Future Games. Salley has a loose, quick arm and has recently been topping out at 88 mph.

This year’s event currently features around 80 uncommitted 2019 prospects. A few interesting prospects to keep an eye on come tomorrow is RHP/OF Nate Curtis (Plainfield North), INF/OF Clark Elliott (Barrington), MIF Ryan Maher (Brother Rice), C Max Malley (Marist), C/OF Julio Cajigas (Romeoville) among others. Curtis is a physical right-handed arm who has been pitching in the mid-80’s this summer with tilt to his fastball. Elliott is an athletic left-handed hitter whose position is still somewhat undetermined but looks to be able to handle the infield.
