The PBR Illinois Class of 2020 Showcase was hosted on Tuesday, July 18th at Wheaton College in Carol Stream, IL. The purpose of the event is to identify and provide a platform for those players from the upcoming high school Junior class. The pro-style workout, run by our Illinois Scouting Staff, saw nearly 90 prospects form the greater Chicagoland area. Per usual, the first roll-out from the event is the statistical analysis and top leaderboards from the day.

Mason Hsieh-Bailey headlined the 60-yard dash times improving his time by more than a tenth of a second since his last PBR event. St. Charles East product Clay Conn impressed with his 6.65 60. Eddie Harvey saw a huge improvement from his last running, slashing off three-tenths of a second from his time.
Not only did Jake Kuntzendorf throw one of the best bullpens at the event, the right-hander also topped the fastball leaderboard pushing his heater up to 87 mph. Andrew Etter finally took the mound at a PBR event and sat second on the top fastball list hitting 85 mph. Of the glut of arms that hit 84mph on the day, there was one southpaw and that was Lake Forest's Cooper Morrison.
Daniel Clawson showcased his big bat and power potential in his BP session as well as leading the top exit velocity at 94 mph off a tee. The trio of Joel Sarver, Jack Kuchel and Logan Delgado all finished a tick behind the leader seeing the gun register 93 mph, respectively.
Joel Sarver sees his name in yet another leaderboard this time topping it, tossing 83 mph across the diamond, doing so three times. Cooper Willman and Justin Tumpowsky were hot on his tail, both knotted up at 81 mph across apiece.
14 of the 25 outfielders in attendance hit 80+ mph to home from the outfield. Andrew Etter showcased his potential two-way abilities and loose, live arm hitting 88 mph to lead the pack. Eddie Harvey is an name to follow going forward for New Trier combining his impressive foot speed and more than capable arm showing why there is no reason he can't stick in centerfield.
Chase Mason may have had the best performance behind the plate, at least he did in the statistical leaderboard edging out Cole Conn thanks to a smaller pop-time range. The two were tied at the top with a 2-flat pop, respectively.
Mason topped this catcher category as well, this time posting the highest catcher velo at 80 mph. Cole Conn and Jack Kuchel were both knotted up at 77 mph apiece, tying for the second spot.
