Class of 2021 Showcase: Statistical Analysis

The Class of 2021 Showcase returned to Lee Pfund Stadium in Carol Stream, IL - home to Wheaton College - on July 17, 2019. The events' purpose is to shine a brighter light on those rising soon to be Juniors and this years' 50+ prospects didn't disappoint.
Before we dissect the event -position by position - in the coming week, we first rolled out our Quick Hits post, which provided you with our scouts' rapid reactions one day after the event. Today, we dive into the statistical side of the event sorted out by seven main leaderboards.
Statistical Analysis
60-Yard Dash
Seven runners in attendance eclipsed the sub-7 60-yard dash time in impressive fashion. Caleb Hubbard (St. Charles East) claimed the top spot running a 6.75 with event standout Andrew Jimenez (St. Charles North) coming in a tick behind at 6.76.
Max Fastball
RHP Aidan Kress (Fenton) stood alone at the top of the leaderboard here with an 85 mph fastball, 5 ticks higher than last time seen last October. RHP Drew Martin (Mt. Pulaski) topped out at 84 mph and turned out to be quite a revelation on the day. There was a three way tie for third place with a trio of righties clocking their heaters in at 83 mph.
Exit Velocity
As mentioned earlier, Andrew Jimenez (St. Charles North) was a clear winner on the day in regards to his statistical outputs and all-around talent. He topped the Exit Velocity topping 94 mph from a tee a tick ahead of Al Holguin (St. Rita) who had perhaps the most polished round of BP on the day. Joshua Kendall (Andrew) used his physical swing to finish third at 92 mph. Good company at the top of this list.
Infield Velocity
No surprise here, but Andrew Jimenez (St. Charles North) headlines this group as well, this time tied with the aforementioned St. Rita product Al Holguin. Both are names to follow not only in regards to their ability to put up solid numbers, but their overall upside on the diamond. Athletically framed Mark Muta (Illiana Christian) finished third at 83 mph.
Outfield Velocity
The pair of Hononegah products finished at the top of the OF Velocity testing in Gabe Roessler and Braden Sayles both topping 84 mph. Both showed 'toolsy' actions in the outfield with the ability to play multiple positions in the outfield grass. There was a three way tie for third at 79 mph.
Catcher Velocity
Physical backstop Kyle Hayes (St. Charles East) stood along atop the Catcher Velo testing topping 78 mph down to second showcasing present arm strength from the crouch. Danny Nuccio (Plainfield North) is just as physical, finishing a tick behind the leader at 77 mph from the crouch.
Pop-Times
Daniel Contreras (Rockford Boylan Catholic) showcased perhaps the cleanest actions defensively shooting out of the crouch quick and easy claiming the top pop-time on the day at 2.07. Marco Torres (St. Charles North) and Danny Nuccio (Plainfield North) - both completely opposite in stature - tied for second both claiming a low pop of 2.08, right behind Contreras. Kyle Hayes (St. Charles East) came in third at 2.09.
