No. 2 O’Fallon 8, Collinsville 1
Logan Boente pitched a three-hitter and Hayden Schafer went 3-for-3 with two RBI for O’Fallon. Bradley Snyder homered and Camden Bauer had two doubles in the victory. Boente struck out four and walked three.

No. 5 Plainfield North 10, Plainfield East 2
Brady Corrigan struck out seven in five innings of four-hit ball, Justin Yeager went 3-for-4 and Zach Jarosz and Tyler Garrity had two hits and two RBI apiece in the victory.

No. 10 Providence 4, No. 6 Mount Carmel 3
Jimmy Jeffries and Colin Airola had RBI singles in the three-run fourth as the defending Class 4A champ took the lead for good to finish off a two-game sweep of the team it defeated in the 2015 state-championship game. Alek Thomas went 3-for-3 for Mount Carmel.

Loyola 7, No. 9 St. Rita 6
Liam McKeough’s bases-loaded walk in the top of the eighth broke a 6-6 tie as the Ramblers hung on after St. Rita erased their 6-0 lead. Andrew Bartholow had two hits and two RBI for Loyola. Danny Gleaves had three hits for St. Rita.

No. 11 Waterloo 8, Mascoutah 3
Winning pitcher Tyler McAlister hit two home runs and Jordan McFarland also went deep for Waterloo. McAlister struck out seven and walked six in 5⅓.

No. 12 Sandburg 2, Lockport 1
Branden Comia’s RBI double in the fifth inning was the difference as Sandburg prevailed despite managing just two hits off Lockport’s Michael Stevens and Drew Flanagan. Kevin Lane (7-0) struck out four and allowed one hit in 2⅔ innings in relief of Eric Papierski to get the win.

No. 17 Prairie Ridge 9, Crystal Lake Central 5
Jacob Carpenter tripled, doubled and had four RBI for the Wolves. Hunter Martin added two hits and Bryce Thelander drove in two runs in the victory.

No. 19 Oak Park 10, New Trier 0
Luke McMahon pitched OPRF’s second no-hitter in a row, needing just 48 pitches (41 strikes) in the five-inning victory. Hank Christie went 3-for-3 with a grand slam and five RBI.

No. 20 Niles Notre Dame 11, Marian Central 1
Matt Krogstad, Ranko Stevanovic and Sam Ferri drove in two runs apiece for the Dons. Nick Stefanowicz struck out four in three innings of one-hit ball.

No. 21 St. Joseph-Ogden 6, Maroa-Forsyth 1
Colton Carr allowed three hits while striking out seven in six innings to improve to 10-0 on the season. Ty Brown added a two-run double in the victory.

Wheaton North 12, No. 23 Naperville Central 5
Zach Colangelo went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBI for the Falcons. Erik Mueller had two hits and three RBI and Pat Leahy and Jake Barry scored three runs apiece in the victory.

No. 24 Plainfield South 4, Romeoville 0
Konnor Ash pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and four walks. Nick Enloe supported the effort with three hits and two RBI.

No. 25 Rockford Christian 15, Aurora Christian 3
Neil Thomas went 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBI and Nolan Gazouski hit a grand slam in the Royal Lions’ winning streak reached 17.

Auburn 3, Pawnee 0
Tristan Weaver pitched nine perfect innings and recorded 24 strikeouts - the No. 10 total in state history according to IHSA.org. Auburn finally broke through with three runs in the top of the 11th.

Oswego 4, Minooka 3
Mike Dato went 3-for-3 and had a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to give the Panthers a three-game sweep. Carter Turnquist went the distance for the win.

Plainfield Central 6, Oswego East 3
Cameron Cercone had a two-run single and David Ascencio had two hits for Central.

Crystal Lake South 8, Cary-Grove 4
Cam Geisser had a two-run double in the seven-run fourth inning for the Gators. Tim Siesennop saved Luke Dunham’s victory with three innings of hitless relief.

Grayslake Central 3, Grayslake North 0
Justin Shepley scattered six hits to complete the shutout. Ben Fitzgerald drove in all three runs.

Metea Valley 5, Glenbard North 0
Joey Coryell and Trey Long combined on a three-hitter and Connor Lovely had two hits and scored two runs in the victory.

Downers Grove South 4, Willowbrook 0
Zack Jones struck out 14 and walked one in a two-hit shutout.

Lyons 6, Downers Grove North 2
Winning pitcher Zach Hyerdall’s grand slam in the top of the ninth was the difference. Hyerdall pitched three scoreless innings of relief, striking out four and walking none.

Prospect 6, Schaumburg 4
Trevor Engquist’s grand slam in the sixth inning gave the Knights a 6-3 lead. Engquist also had an RBI triple in the first inning.

Fremd 2, Buffalo Grove 1
Jared Swenson pitched 6⅔ innings and J.T. Kolderup retired the final Bison batter with the bases loaded.

Palatine 8, Hersey 2
Ryan Anderson allowed two unearned runs on four hits in the complete-game victory. Charlie Van Dyke had four RBI and Jack Grochowski went 3-for-4 and scored three runs for the Pirates.

Barrington 9, Rolling Meadows 2
Blake Swanson went 2-for-2 with a homer and three RBI and Tyler Acosta went 3-for-3 for the Broncos.

Conant 5, Wheeling 4
Jimmy Brady singled home Jack Lunkes with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Logan Smith had two hits and two RBI for Conant.

Zion-Benton 3, Vernon Hills 0
Matthew Hamlet pitched a three-hitter and Kyle Hemenway went 2-for-4 with two RBI for the Zee-Bees.

Warren 8, Lake Forest Academy 5
Ryan Davila went 3-for-3 and Luke Schmitt homered for the Blue Devils.

Deerfield 6, Highland Park 3
Ryan Pfutzenreuter pitched a three-hitter and Jacob Moeckler had three hits for Deerfield.

Lake Zurich 4, Carmel 1
Ben Cornelius struck out nine in five innings of two-hit ball for the Bears. Kyle Fleming hit a home run in the victory. Cooper Johnson homered for Carmel.

Montini 5, DePaul Prep 3
Ben Steiner went the distance in his first varsity start. He also doubled in the victory.

De La Salle 7, Bishop McNamara 0
Sean Rickert pitched a four-hitter with six strikeouts and Justin Jackson hit a home run for the Meteors.

Bartlett 6, West Aurora 5
Mike Prang singled home the tying and winning runs and Bartlett rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Boylan 4, Rockford Guilford 3
Ronan Jansen allowed two hits while striking out 10 and walking three in six innings for Boylan. Sam Rinaldo had two RBI and Dylan Johnson added two hits.

Mahomet-Seymour 13, Heritage 7
Tom Kenney homered and had four RBI in the victory.

Shepard 5, Crete-Monee 4
Rob Marinec’s two-run double in the bottom of the seventh plated the tying and winning runs as Shepard won in walk-off fashion. Connor Doolan went the distance to earn the victory.

Andrew 7, Lincoln-Way Central 4
Colin Winston doubled twice and drove in four runs for Andrew. Brian Gebert added three hits and two RBI and Alex Sternes allowed two unearned runs on four hits in 5⅓.

Lincoln-Way East 8, Joliet West 0
Ricky Criscione struck out 10 in six innings of three-hit ball and Jake Pomykalski drove in a pair of runs for the Griffins.

Bolingbrook 10, Homewood-Flossmoor 2
Jeremiah Lebron went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI for the Raiders. Jordan Jackson also went deep in the victory.

South Elgin 10, West Chicago 1
Nate Gomez went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs for the Storm.
