University of Michigan-recruit Charlie Donovan (3-0) finished off the Tigers in the top of the seventh to pick up the win. The Sentinels will face the Crusaders of Ottawa Marquette at 7 pm on Monday night. Yours truly will be in Lisle for all of the Class 2A Supersectional action at 7.

Stagg 3, Lincoln-Way East 2
Surprising Stagg (17-18) stunned Southwest Suburban Conference Blue Division rival Lincoln-Way East to win the regional championship in Flossmoor. Stagg broke up a 2-2 tie in the top of the seventh when Nick Nowak singled home the eventual Charger game-winner. Max Strus mowed down the Griffins in the bottom of the seventh to pick up the win.
