Leisenring To Enroll Early At Arizona State

Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

Colorado is taking another hit in its 2018 class. RHP Cole Winn (Orange Lutheran HS, CA) moved to California after the summer and now C Luke Leisenring (Ralston Valley HS, CO) is making a move of his own. The switch-hitting catcher will enroll early at Arizona State. Standing at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Leisenring repeats a level swing from both sides of the plate. He is an advanced defender, blocking well and getting out of his crouch quickly to produce pop times in the 1.88-1.92 range. Leisenring was ranked No. 5 in the state.

In other recruiting news…

+ Virginia recently got its first in-state 2022 commitment in C Ethan Anderson (Cox HS, VA). Anderson came on the scene in early September while PBR Virgina scouted the Super Six Fall tournament in September. Anderson is physically advanced for an eighth grader at 6 feet, 180 pounds. He already shows strength offensively with a knack for getting consistent barrel on the ball during his at-bats.
