It was a busy weekend for high school baseball and you can catch up with much of the action with our state scouting blogs. Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky and Pennsylvania were all updated in the last couple days. Also, be sure to check out The Rode Report, which I will keep updated throughout the season as I attend games and have conversations with scouts and coaches across the country. The latest entry contains notes on a high follow for 2016, as well as some under-the-radar players in North Carolina.
Be on the lookout for an update to the 2016 Overall Rankings. We gave you a sneak peek at who will make a climb in last week’s Hotlist.
Now for some questions...
By NCAA rules, are draft eligible high school seniors and college players even allowed to talk to advisors/agents/attorneys in order to fully understand the draft process and a contract that may be presented to them?
Yes. You can consult an advisor/attorney about the process as long as you are paying for services rendered. A sticking point of the agent rule is contact between the representative and teams.
