Recruiting news around Illinois:

Jeremy Kravetz, a senior 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior LHP from Mount Carmel HS, has committed to Kansas. As a junior, Kravetz served as the ace for the Caravan, which held the No. 1 spot in the state for a chunk of last spring. Kravetz posted a 6-1 record as a junior against top-level competition. His older brother, John Kravetz, is a sophomore RHP at the University of Illinois.

Riley Pawelski, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound Class of 2014 RHP from Rockton Hononegah HS, has committed to Illinois State. Pawelski, who’s currently ranked No. 38 in Illinois’ 2014 class, was a member of Illinois’ Midwest Future Games last August.

Jeff Schank, a senior LHP from Naperville Central HS, has committed to Butler. Schank posted a 7-1 record as a junior for Naperville Central.

Adam Bauer,  a 6-foot-4, 160-pound corner infielder from Belleville West HS, commits to Southwestern Illinois College. The left-handed hitting Bauer ran a 7.02 60 at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase in October.

Southwestern Illinois College also landed Jordan Askin from Granite City HS.

Nick Genova, a 5-foot-8, 155-pound C from St. Joseph HS, commits to Quincy University. Genova participated in the Unsigned Senior Showcase in October.
