Few players in Illinois’ Class of 2014 has seen his stock climb more in the last month than Braden Mosley, an athletically built 6-foot-1, 185-pound outfielder from Moline HS.

Previously unknown, Mosley made a big name for himself at the Prep Baseball Report Class of 2014 Showcase on Oct. 21 at The Max when he put on an all-around impressive show.

First, Mosley proved himself to be an elite athlete when he ran a 6.78 60. Then in the outfield, he showcased a strong arm, recording 88 mph throws that were on target using a true outfield arm action. He showed natural outfield actions while playing through the ball well, displaying athletic footwork, clean hands and aggressive, confident movements.

Offensively, the right-handed hitter swings an aggressive stick. He showed explosive bat speed on a level bat path, working to both gaps. Mosley showed significant power potential.

Shortly after the event, Mosley catapulted to the No. 25 ranked prospect in Illinois’ Class of 2014, and No. 115 overall in the PBR eight-state coverage area.
