Underclassmen Spotlight: Mitchell Boe, MIF, Joliet Catholic HS, Class of 2015



Today we catch up with Mitchell Boe, a 5-foot-8, 140-pound MIF, from Joliet Catholic.

Mitchell BoeMitchell is a 5-foot-8, 140-pound middle infielder who impressed with his easy, loose left-handed swing.  Mitchell remains quiet and compact to the ball, and he uses his quick hands and level swing to spray line drives to both power alleys. Defensively, Mitchell exhibited soft hands and excellent footwork as he moved with fluidity at the shortstop position. He was clocked at 76 mph from his position.

PBR: Have you ever attended a Prep Baseball Report event?  If so what were your impressions of the event?
Yes, attended the PBR Underclassmen Invite Only event in January.  Very well run, impressed with the number of college coaches in attendance.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player?
I feel I show well in all the measureable categories, hitting, fielding, throwing, etc.  but I feel my biggest strengths are the intangibles…knowledge of the game, leadership qualities, playing the game the right way.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what are you most excited about this summer?
Edge Baseball academy 16U. I’m most excited about our Tournament schedule and level of competition we will be facing this summer.

PBR: What are your goals both individually and for your summer team for the rest of spring and summer?
To keep getting better as a baseball player and contribute as a teammate.

PBR: What is your most memorable moment in baseball so far in your life?
Hitting a home run opening weekend of the H.S. season.

PBR: What are your stats so far in the High School season?
Batting Avg .547
