Trey Garrett, C/RHP, Benton HS, Class of 2012
Garrett is a strong-bodied 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete who has been a two-way standout for Benton since his sophomore year. Where ever Garrett plays, his arm strength is always a factor. Behind the plate, Garrett possesses athletic feet and a strong arm.

Last spring, Benton posted a 27-8 record and advanced to the Class 2A sectional finals in large part because of Garrett’s all-around dominance. On the mound, the right-hander finished with a 9-0 record with 7 complete games. His win total included victories over Harrisburg and Murphysboro. He posted a 1.07 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 59 innings.

Offensively, Garrett batted .422 with 6 doubles, 3 homers, 23 RBI and 14 stolen bases.
