Marius Balandis

Graduating Class: 2017

Position: RHP

School: St. Laurence

Height: 6-2

Weight: 191

The Outlook: Balandis, originally from Lithuania is in his first year as a student at St. Laurence and is the highest ranked uncommitted 2017 in Illinois. He had been held out of the Illinois rankings in the past because  he was not enrolled in an Illinois high school. Balandis features a four-pitch repertoire and has been up to 92 mph. Balandis and 2017 LHP Jimmy Burnette, a left/left two-way prospect who has been up to 90 mph on the mound, could provide a tough one-two punch at the top of the rotation for the Vikings this spring.
