After four years of watching the Class of 2013, the senior class continues to evolve. Over the last three months, more prospects have emerged, and some have elevated their games.

No one has kicked their game to another level more than RHP Zach Burdi (Downers Grove South HS), who put on an absolute show at the Super 60 on February 3. The athletically built 6-foot-3 right-hander sat 93 mph, touching 94, with late sink. Not bad for early February. Burdi’s performance has made him arguably the highest-interest draft in Illinois.

It also jumped him to the No. 1 prospect in Illinois’ 2013 class, narrowly edging RHP Andy Honiotes (Geneva HS) and SS/RHP Ryne Roper (Harrisburg HS).

Another big riser is OF Jake Ring (Grant HS), a Missouri recruit who moves up to No. 4. Rounding out the top 10 are OF Corey Ray (Simeon HS), RHP/3B Keith Lehmann (Lyons Township HS), C Ryan Lidge (Barrington HS), OF Jordan Getzelman (Prairie Ridge HS), C Brent Gibbs (Alton HS) and RHP Cody Sedlock (Rock Island Alleman HS).
