Between the Lines Scout Day: Outfielder Analysis

Prep Baseball Report Kansas held the Between the Lines Scout Day at The BTL Baseball Facility in Shawnee, Kansas. Nearly twenty-five players participated in the 2022 to 2019 classes from around the area.
Player profiles have been updated with running times and velocities along with a video of their performance.
Players can now updated their profiles with a ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on ScoutPlus.
Here is a closer look at the outfielders from the event.

Wyatt Barney RHP / OF / Desoto , KS / 2021Barney is a 6-foot-2 155-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 4.63 home to first and had an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts in athletic position, efficient load, short in line stride, compact swing short to contact, middle of the field approach, level swing plane. In the outfield, over the top arm slot, long arm circle, controlled action with clean exchange on time with footwork, 76 mph positional velocity. |
Zachary Brink 1B / LHP / Olathe Northwest, KS / 2021Brink is a 5-foot-9 180-pond left-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 4.63 home to first and had a 70 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts slightly open loaded in back leg, minimal load, simple and repeatable, slightly closed stride, feel for the barrel, loose hands, gap to gap line drives.
