Positional Profile: 1B
Body: 5-foot-10, 180-pounds. Sturdy, durable build.
Defense: Two-hand gather, fluid footwork, accurate throws across the diamond.
Arm: LH.  INF - 77 mph.  Short, over-the-top slot; quick arm.
Hit: LHH. Relaxed, athletic setup, smooth, simple load, stays balanced through contact.  Quick hands, loose, easy swing, short, level path to the baseball, clear barrel feel, line drive approach.
Power: 86 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.59 runner in the 60.

1/26/19 - Brink is a 5-foot-9 180-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and first baseman in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 4.63 home to first and had a 70 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts slightly open loaded in back leg, minimal load, simple and repeatable, slightly closed stride, feel for the barrel, loose hands, gap to gap line drives.  In the outfield, short high three quarters arm slot, fluid actions, quick transfer and throw, mostly accurate throws, 82 mph positional velocity. At first base, short three quarters arm slot, accurate throws with carry, soft hands and clean exchange, quick catch and throw with momentum from feet, 80 mph positional velocity.

10/20/18 – Brink is a 5-foot-8, 160-pound left-handed hitting corner infielder in Kansas’ 2021 recruiting class. At the event he ran a 7.91 second 60 yard dash and 5.26 home-to-first. At the plate, 78 mph exit velocity, starts with an open stance, simple knee pinch into load, in line stride, loose hands, showed feel for the barrel, high finish with hands, during batting practice he sprayed line drives to all fields. Defensively at first base, Brink showed his athleticism and good actions, moved well laterally, quick clean arm action, clean transfers, high three-quarter release, positional velocity of 75 mph, very accurate throws.

1/15/18 - Brink is a 5-foot-7 145-pound left-handed first baseman and left-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 5.13 home to first and has a 68 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, hands separate from stride, simple and repeatable mechanics, loose hands with feel for the barrel, gap to gap approach.  On the infield, 68 mph positional velocity, smooth actions, clean exchange, high three quarters release, works through the ball, soft hands. On the mound, Brink has a controlled tempo to release, acclerates down the mound, works from from an over the the top release, lands slightly open, finishes in athletic position, fastball flashes running action, 67-68 mph, breaking ball has 1-to-7 shape, gradual break, 62-64 mph, change up has occastional arm side sink, 61-62 mph.
