***** Below we talk in-depth about each in-state prospect

Grand Valley State University

Overview: Coach Detillion and staff are looking to improve on last year's season. Two early commits players with one coming from Michigan. Nate Logan from South Lyon is the lone Michigander to sign early at GVSU. A left hand hitting OF has raw power at the plate with a pull approach. Shows some lift in his swing that should play at the next level.

Hillsdale Chargers

Overview: Coach Theisen looks to build on the success he's had at Hillsdale the past few years. Last season advancing to the NCAA Regionals. The chargers have signed four guys in the early signing period.

Joe Hardenbergh, is a physically strong prospect with a bag of tools. He possesses a good throwing arm, speed, and power at the plate. He can step on campus day one and battle for a starting job. Chad Stevens, brings a competitive fire on the mound that adds to his obvious talent. Fastball has been mid 80’s with a sweeping curve. He’s a player that can potentially join the rotation as a freshman. Nick Stepke, is a game ready player today, he features a polished skill set. Versatile defender that is able to play multiple positions. Logan Simon, is a strike thrower with a solid three pitch mix. Continues to get better each time you see him. Expect to see a jump in velocity when he enters the college lifting program. High ceiling.

Northwood Timberwolves

Overview:  Coach Jake Sabol returns back to Northwood this time as the Head Coach. He looks to bring the success he had at Alma College over to Northwood. Sabol wasted no time getting guys to commit in the early signing period bringing in the largest class of any Michigan GLIAC school.

LHP Matt Crain, has a long projectable frame and has improved his velocity over the years, look for him to continue developing and fighting for innings in year one. Cross DeLau is a utility player that can play infield, outfield and pitch also from the left side. Gap to gap hitter with some power. Joey Johnston is a gamer that plays the game the right way. A polished ball player who will be game ready day one. Tyler King is another LHP that will add depth to the pitching staff, also very projectable standing 6-foot-4, 190 pounds. Owen Malinowski is a mid 80's arm that continues to get better each time we see him. There is no reason to believe he has peaked, expect him to see significant innings as as freshman. Keaton Peck is a two way prospect who plays up the middle and pounds the zone on the mound. Could possibly stay a two way at the next level.

This year with a brand new ball park as the Ernie Harwell project was recently completed giving them one of the top stadiums in the state. The Warriors bring in one player during the early signing period.
