Northern Nevada 

The Northern Nevada Pitcher of the Week honors for the final week of regular season play belong to Reno Huskies right-hander ’20 Caedon Kottinger. Kottinger rendered a complete game, 3-hit effort, striking out 10.  He did not surrender a base on balls and allowed just one earned run. He threw 93 pitches in the outing, 68 of which were strikes. Kottinger earned the first of two Huskies wins during the week and was an integral part in their Division Championship and #1 seed in the Northern Region.

Senior, Nate Miller of Spanish Springs captures the Player of the Week award. Miller was 3 for 4 in two games to end the regular season, including a home run and 5 RBI over the two contests. The Cougars swept Reed and finished third overall in the Northern Region and will host Reed to open the Region Championship Tournament today.

Southern Nevada

The Southern Nevada Player of the Week recognition belongs to ’21 Elie Kligman.  The sophomore was 6 for 9 with two doubles and 6 RBI. In addition to his 6 hits, he also walked 4 times, giving him a .769 on base percentage for the week. Kligman’s Cimarron-Memorial Spartans went 2-1 on the week earning the final Mountain Region Playoff spot.

The Southern Nevada Pitcher of the Week honors go to ’19 Dawson Beard from the Liberty Patriots.  Beard pitched 5 innings in a complete game, shutout effort against Green Valley. He struckout 9 Gators over the five innings, scattering 4 hits. Liberty was 2-0 in the final week of regular season play, earning the #3 seed in the Desert Region.

For their exception performances, PBR Nevada congratulates '20 Caedon Kottinger (Reno), '19 Nate Miller (Galena), '19 Dawson Beard (Liberty), '21 Elie Kilgman (Cimarron Memorial)  for their Prep Baseball Report Nevada Player of the Week, April 29 - May 4.
