PRESEASON ALL-STATE UPPERCLASS: BALL FLIGHT

Since the beginning of the summer, Prep Baseball Report events across the country have been powered by TrackMan’s industry-leading Portable system to capture pinpoint accurate, actionable data from player performances. Prep Baseball Report and TrackMan are dedicated to recognizing talent and unleashing their potential.

On January 30th, PBR Arizona had a chance to hold its annual Preseason All-State, which could be considered one of the biggest events of the year in Arizona. The two-day invite only event features some of the top prospects from around the state coming from the 2021-2025 grad classes. The event was broadcasted live in order for coaches, scouts and fans to see the action all over the country. This event continues to be a huge identifier of prospects in Arizona and to get quality prospect updates on players we have seen in the past. This event has also played a big role on which prospects will secure their invitation to represent Team Arizona at the PBR Future Games later in the summer.

Day one of our Preseason All-State Games featured over 65 prospects from the 2021-2022 grad classes from all across the state of Arizona with a few players trickling in from border states and even Hawaii & Washington. This event has become a must attend event as players go into their high school seasons. At the event, all hitters had a chance to be evaluated through our portable Trackman unit. Each player received a round of on the field BP where they were measured in key ball flight metrics. We were able to collect key ball flight statistics such as exit velocity, distance, launch angles, spray charts and much more. PBR was able to collect data on many young uncommitted players from around the state that will be sharable with coaches & scouts as well as help players identify areas of development for the future.

The event featured 55 hitters with several prospects making some noise with important data to back it up. Here are top Peak Exit Velocities and Max Distance Traveled from this invite only event:

Top Metrics:

Exit Velocity: 100.78mph | 2022 1B Dante Turgeon (Benjamin Franklin)

Max Distance: 377 feet | 2022 1B Michael Masunas (Hamilton)
