The Tournament of Champions Preview

Noah Sharp
PBR Texas JUCO Insider

Every year San Jac puts on one of the biggest Pre-Season get-togethers in the country. The Tournament of Champions. Usually, teams from all across the country make the trek to Houston to take part in it. Last years was cut short due to weather so it did not happen. This season however the top teams from all across the state will come to take part. This years field consists of nine teams, eight are from Texas the other is from Louisiana (Baton Rouge CC). Of those eight, seven are in the PBR Texas JUCO Top 25, with six being in the Top 10.

Over these three days, 18-games will be played and here is an in-depth look at each teams weekend, along with who will have the toughest week, who has the most to lose, and who has the most to gain.

Laredo has an interesting weekend. They do play two of the top teams in the state but also have two games against the lone out of state team Baton Rouge. They have a chance to upset both McLennan and Navarro which would lead to some interesting movement.
