TOP PROSPECTs

Khaleil Blanding

Khaleil Blanding, 2020, 2B/OF, Muhlenberg HS (PA)
5-foot-9, 175-pound right-handed hitter displayed an advanced offensive approach using all fields with an above average feel for the barrel. He starts his swing from a square stance and utilizes a heel-raise stride to begin. Barreled the baseball consistently in BP and went 3-for-4 with a triple in game action on day one. 7.51 runner showcased athletic actions defensively with the ability to play second base and outfield. 79 mph arm strength would play at third base and Blanding's frame is likely to continue to mature making that move a possibility. Potential to be a run producer with some gap power at the next level. Definite follow in this class.

Cam BurrisCam Burris, 2020, RHP, St. Joseph's Catholic (PA)
6-foot-1, 200-pound righty has made a significant jump since we saw him last in October of 2017. 25 pounds heavier, Burris has begun to take on his mature frame and it has translated to a velo jump on the mound. He sat 83-85 out of a high 3/4 arm slot with some hip coil to his delivery. Worked three impressive innings allowing just an infield hit and a walk. Struck out four and was in command of all three pitches. His fastball showed late life with arm-side run while his changeup displayed similar movement with good arm speed at 75-77. His curveball with tight 11/5 rotation at 74-76 has a chance to be a solid out pitch at the next level. Repeatable mechanics and strong durable frame should lead to additional velocity spikes moving forward.

Andrew CurranAndrew Curran, 2019, RHP/OF, Souderton Area HS (PA)
6-foot-2, 240-pound two-way prospect put together arguably the most complete two day performance of any prospect in attendance. He sat 82-84 on the mound out of a low 3/4 arm slot working solely out of the stretch with the ability to reach back for 85-86 when he wanted it. He also showcased the ability to change tempo in his delivery and occasionally switched to a high 3/4 arm slot for a different look. His slider at 73-75 from the lower arm slot shows sweeping action that was very difficult for right-handed hitters to pick up.  The right-handed hitter went 4-for-6 with two doubles in game action and he showcased a bat exit velocity of 91 mph. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash and flashed 85 mph arm strength from the outfield while getting good reads during game action.

Michael KilkerMichael Kilker, 2021, RHP/SS, Hazleton Area HS (PA)
Athletic 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame. Primary pitcher sat 83-85 while touching 86-87 at times during his three innings of work. Starts his delivery with a short, side-rocker step and delivers from a mid-3/4 arm slot. Changeup is thrown with above average sell at 75-77 and curveball has good depth at 71-73. Very live arm that is likely to be upper 80s by this time next year. Two-way prospect ran a 7.60 60-yard dash and displayed 82 mph arm strength defensively. Size and defensive actions would be best suited for an eventual move to third base. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and he initiates his swing with a leg-hang stride. Displayed an above average feel for the baseball in BP with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Went 5-for-7 with a triple in game action over two days.

Christian QuinnChristian Quinn, 2020, 1B/LHP, Harriton HS (PA)
6-foot-1, 200-pound switch hitter impressed from both sides of the plate during BP. Starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a leg-hang stride form both sides of the plate with similar swing paths. True switch-hitter displayed greater pop from his left side (natural side) although he has been hitting from that side for a shorter period of time. Went 5-for-6 with two triples in game action showing a disciplined approach at the plate and a willingness to drive the baseball to the opposite field. Displayed a soft glove and capable actions around the bag at first base with 78 mph arm strength across the diamond. Also worked two innings on the mound sitting 75-79 out of a 3/4 arm slot with some cross fire action to his delivery. Curveball sat 66-68 with 1/7 rotation and changeup at 67-68 was thrown at near fastball arm speed.
