WEEK 2 (MARCH 16-22)

SS / 2B / CAMDEN, NY / 2017

5-foot-11, 165-pound Athletic middle infielder with a quick first step. Quick hands with ability to get to ground balls in the hole with a strong arm across the diamond. Offensively gap to gap approach with potential to grow with continued strength development. Covers plate well with good approach, upward barrel path, and ability to run. Good energy, definite gamer that will benefit a four year program.

Athletic build; strong lower half. Comfortable reads in the outfield, arm better suited for left-field. Short, quick stroke with sneaky power. Blasted three homeruns while in Myrtle Beach, one to each field. Hitting .413 with 3 HR, 16 RBI and 19 runs on the season.

1B / 3B / CARDINAL HAYES, NY / 2016

Full framed RHH at 6-foot-3 250 pounds; impressively short stroke for his size; balanced in the box with gap-to-gap pop. Collected 14 hits including 3 doubles and drove in 13 runs in Myrtle Beach. Hitting .380 on the year with 7 doubles and 18 RBI.

Impressive physical build with a strong lower half; saw time on the mound and at SS in Myrtle Beach while being sprinkled in at DH. At the plate there is some inside out tendencies to the swing path but he can pull the barrel through. HItting .471 with 4 doubles and a triple over 12 games. Two outings on the trip; first was a tough luck loss to powerhouse Mercer CC going 5 ⅓ IP striking out 6 and the second was a dominating 16K effort over Westmoreland going 7 innings and allowing 1 hit.

Well put together 3B who showed glove side range and an accurate arm with carry. Hit two homeruns, one to left and one to right center vs. Montgomery CC (PA).

Proportional build for the LHH 1B who is a Rutgers transfer. Even setup at the dish with a slight lean over the belt during his take back. Flashed some pull side juice but also can cover the outer half of the dish and drive the ball to left/left center. Two homeruns and two triples early on for the Hawks.

Smaller, slight build with quick release on the infield. Will be valuable on the bump (8 K’s over 6 IP) and at multiple positions on the field throughout the season.

SS / OF / FAIRPORT, NY / 2018

Athletic actions in the middle of the field with an arm that can play on the left side. Aggressive approach in the box with some bat speed. Has started in all 13 of FLCC’s games with a couple doubles and 8 runs scored. Once overall approach at the plate improves so will the results.

Left handed hitter with an even setup; I/O approach, uses the whole field. Two hits and a walk vs. Sullivan CC; collected three doubles during his time in Myrtle Beach; hitting .389 with 5 RBI over 6 games.

6-foot-1, 200-pound stocky leadoff man, Garrett Baugher kicked off his 2019 year with a bang, notching 11 hits to go with 8 stolen bases. As an uncommitted outfielder, Baugher is physical, fast, and has the ability to patrol the outfield at the D1 level.

Joseph Barberio (Niagara CCC)C / 2B / Saint Mary's, NY / 2017

While he won’t intimidate you with size, 5-foot-10 Joe Barberio took the mound in the year’s first ranked matchup for the Thunderwolves. Up against St. Cloud Tech, Barberio went six scoreless, giving up two runs on two hits while striking out five.

Bryan Rivera (Niagara CCC)SS / 2B / Edison Tech, NY / 2016
