PA Top Prospect Games Results Released

By Greg Williams

Often times measurable data collected during showcase activities does not tell the whole story about a prospect's abilities. In the case of 2016 SS/RHP Danny Long (Pennridge), the numbers didn't lie at this year's PA Top Prospect Games.

In addition to going 5-for-5 in game action with two home runs and a triple, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound two-way prospect sits atop the list of nearly every measurable category collected at the 4th annual event. Long topped all pitchers in velocity topping at 90 mph and his 95 mph bat exit velocity was matched by only one other prospect, 2016 1B/RHP Dillon Good (Ephrata). Although 60-yard dash times were not able to be recorded, Long also showcased some of the better foot speed at the event and has run a 6.87.

In depth analysis of prospects by class and position will follow in the coming days. For now CLICK HERE to view the measurable numbers recorded during the course of the two day event for all prospects.
