Top Performer Spotlight: 2025 RHP/OF Ryan Walsh (Bethel Park)
February 8, 2022
Ryan Walsh burst onto the scene on Sunday afternoon after posting big time arm strength numbers from the outfield and off the mound.
‘25 RHP/OF Ryan Walsh (Bethel Park) was the biggest winner of the day, bringing out + feel across the repertoire. Commanded 3️⃣ pitches with low-pulse actions and a firm fastball. Maturity stands out, due for another jump soon.

The top defensive round in the outfield belonged to ‘25 RHP/OF Ryan Walsh (Bethel Park). Best arm-talent of the day with a long circle and some twitch through release. Can’t wait for the bullpen on-deck, T86 mph velo (multiple times) from his position. @PGHOutlaws_ pic.twitter.com/fOTOsfQesn

Scouting Report
Defensively, Walsh was also the big winner on the day as he posted an 86 MPH outfield velo. He did work out in the OF prior to throwing off of the mound, so keep that in mind when looking at his peak FB velo. There is a lot of room to grow for Walsh, but in the mean time, he surely gets the job done throwing upper 80's numbers all day long. Not to go unnoticed, Walsh had an exceptional round of BP as well as he checked in with an 88 MPH peak exit velo. All in all, Walsh will be one to keep an eye on in his freshman campaign at Bethel Park.
