5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and uses a lift-and-replace stride to begin. Showcased balance throughout with a middle of the field approach and the ability to create back spin. Registered a bat exit velocity of 93 mph and ran an event best 6.54 60-yard dash. Those same quick twitch actions were evident in the outfield defensively. Plays through the baseball routinely with active feet and showed solid 82 mph arm strength.

Physical: 6-foot-0, 175-pounds. Strong physical frame. 6.62 runner in the 60; 4.34 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Starts slightly open, knees kept bent, keeps bat knob low around the chest, consistent rhythm, medium leg kick Quick bat through the zone, weight stays on front foot, powerful swing, slight upward swing, finishes with one hand on bat. Powerful hitter who can spread the field. 93 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Plays ball to the side when fielding, quick hands, accurate throw to target. Over the top arm slot.   OF - 76 MPH.

5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Showcased an advanced feel for the barrel while making consistent hard contact during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. Showed athletic actions defensively while consistently playing through the baseball. Registered 78 mph arm strength to home plate and ran a 6.97 60-yard dash. Above average skill set will continue to improve with strength gains and through physical maturity. Definite follow in this class.

 

8/15/18

 

5-foot-11, 175-pounder displayed the well-rounded skill set that currently has him ranked No. 78 in the PA Class of 2021. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a controlled leg hang stride. Displayed balance throughout while continually peppering the middle of the field with feel for the barrel. Registered a bat exit velocity of 89 mph and ran an event best 6.82 60-yard dash. Completed his day by showing athletic, fluid defensive actions with solid carry on throws of 81 mph from the outfield.
