The Top 2 Remain the Same
Blake Mitchell and Travis Sykora both have been great out of the gate and continue to garner 1st round buzz. Mitchell is a LHH Catcher, who can also touch 97 on the mound. The LSU recruit is the top C in the country. Sykora is a 6’7 RHP out of Round Rock who holds the title for hardest thrower in the country. The UT recruit routinely hits 100 on the radar gun.
Rest of Top 10
At #3 is where the top 10 starts to change. The two Houston Lefties move up to the 3 & 4 spot. Sharp and Adams have both touched the mid 90’s early this spring and are good athletes on the mound. Sorrell jumps from 11 to 5 after a great Super 60 and a good beginning to the spring. Jacob Gholston is one of the fastest risers in TX. The RHP out of Flower Mound moves from 32 to 7. He has been up to 92 recently with a low effort delivery and plenty of projection left. Aiden Smith moves up a couple spots. The smooth gliding CF from Lovejoy has the ability to make the game look easy at times, and the Mississippi St. recruit has been up to 94 early this spring on the mound.
Risers
+ Kannon Kemp, another big bodied OU recruit, continues to rise as well. Kemp has an XL frame and can get up to 94-95.
+ Chase Morgan is a projectable lefty out of Cy Woods who has been up to 92 early this spring. The ULL recruit has more coming as well.
+ Caden Ferraro is one of the top two ways in the state. The Texas A&M recruit can really hit from the left side, and has some power as well. He is also an upper 80’s lefty on the mound that can really pitch.
+ Bennett Fryman has had one of the loudest starts to the spring here in Texas. The Navarro JC recruit has multiple HR’s at the plate and has been up to 94 on the mound from the left side. He has always been a supreme athlete, and it is really starting to come together for him.
