6-3, 190 long and strong chiseled frame with current strength throughout and speed to carry over to the next level. Slight crouch with hands at back shoulder pulling hands back deep with controlled foot lift; stays in back hip well and creates some stretch with stride. Barrel stays level through the zone with direct hands flashing quickness in the hands/barrel; strength in the frame and ability to work gap to gap (89 EV). Has improved his ability to get to the baseball in the OF along with his arm strength and path giving him ability to play all corner spots in OF and INF; arm has some scap load and ability to utilize his arm side run to be accurate to bags (84 OF).

PBR Norcal Uncommitted Senior Games - Physical, athletic and strong at 6-foot-3, 195-pounds, body continues to make positive improvements each time we see him. Kelly showed the versatility of his tools as he’s moved from 3B to the OF allowing his quickness (6.89 60-yard) to play up while continuing to show a bat that profiles as a middle of the order hitter. Wide stance allows the direct hands to lift through contact driving liners through the OF; when he keeps his connections the ball jumps off the bat. Flashed that strength on a shot right at the SS during the games. Moves easily in the OF having some flat length out of the glove on throws keeping it at the base and flashing firm carry, posting a high throwing velocity of 83 mph. The innate strength and some twitch indicate that a jump to an impact hitter could very well be just around the corner.

BAWS 2019 - Large, physical build with current muscle in wide chest; athletic actions with quick feet (7.13 60 yd). Wide base with deep hands having high back elbow; controlled front foot lift with hands having a slight movement backwards. Quick barrel turn staying level through the zone; some lift upon contact flashing pop to the pullside of the field and some bat speed. Uses the strength in his body to show ability to carry ball into both gaps; flashes of leverage for some more pop. Uses length in legs well with hips having some fluidity to move around and through the baseball from SS; shows the ability to move in short spaces and come attack the baseball. Arm is compact (81 MPH); has made improvements in his arm work giving him a chance to stick at the INF/OF corners. Picked up a couple hits during the games including a 2B into RCF that showed the strength in his bat and ability to carry the ball to the gaps.

PBR Norcal Preseason All-State - Strong and physical, large frame with width in shoulders; projectable build still has some space available. Quick first steps using length in legs to move quickly (7.13 60-yd). Tall, balanced stance with even hands keeping bat on back shoulder; controlled foot lift with hands working back. Quick turns keeping hands tight to the body showing pullside pop with swing that creates good loft of the ball; drove ball over the pullside of the fence and into that gap (85 exit velo). Uses long legs well with ability to extend range and get glove down late; short compact arm from low slot (73 MPH).

PBR Norcal Underclass Games - 6-foot-3, 185-pounds, lean body type with good present day strength but a frame to add more size and strength. Offensively he displayed balance at the plate while starting with a tall set-up, with quiet hands as he loads, short swing with good bat speed can produce gap power. Has some lift in swing and fairly aggressive stride. Strong hands and made good barrel contact, gets through contact well and hands worked inside the ball, handled the fastball well in game action and handcuffed the shortstop into an error on a very hard hit ball. Defensively he circles the ball as he approaches fielding it, gets rid of the ball quickly with a solid arm that has more in there when he might need it. Moves well laterally and does have some range due to a good first step. Soft hands. Raw footspeed and size may end up making 3rd base his best fit on the field. Plays with good baseball energy and enthusiasm.
