Bay Area World Series 2022 - Uncommitted; Long body to say the least, broad proportions, rangy, what stands out about him as a very tall pitcher is that he's got body control and is a strike thrower, overhand slot, FB max 80.7 mph, max spin 2123, release height 6.1, avg 17.4 IVB, big smooth breaking CB, 2104 max spin on the CB and has feel for the zone with it, CHG with slightly lower slot than FB and CB which is something to tidy up, minimal horizontal movement w/CHG (72-74), showed feel for the pitch w/1462 avg spin, given more time for strength gains and some arm speed increases there is an interesting pitcher here given the size and ability to throw strikes at his size. May not ever be a smoke-thrower but may not have to be to be successful.
6/06/21
Bay Area World Series Underclass (6/4/21-6/6/21)
Pitching notes: Full overhead delivery with average front knee and length down the hill. Solid front side and big glove side action allows arm to have stab down before fluid action to over the top slot. Repeated actions well and theres athleticism in the delivery. FB to both sides of the plate and flashes of angle; will go up for swing and miss. CB long overhand breaker with depth and roll through break; times where there was some snap out of bend and deeper action. CHG good armside bottom and ability to throw it ahead or behind. Projection available in the frame. FB 75-80 / CB 59-65 / CHG 70-72
Offensive notes: Slight squat with hands back early and high back elbow. Front foot lifts and down in place allowing back hip to turn and creat carry to the LCF gap. EV mph - 82
2/21/21
Positional Profile: RHP Body: 6-7, 188-pounds. Strength in XXL frame with plenty of space for added projection. Very advanced build for age. Delivery: Full overhead delivery with early lean and shallow front knee. Times where the front foot will slide externally in landing, but overall was fairly consistent having some firmness over the front side. Arm Action: RH. Arm goes down to the ground out of glove being compact to H-3/4 slot. Stays connected with frame on rotation. FB: T78, 75-77 mph. Downwards angle when going glove-side; 2-seam had short run arm-side (13.5 Max HM, 22.1 Max IVB) T78, 78 average rpm. CB: 61-63 mph. Sharp and fluid 3/4 break (-22 Max IVB, -16.1 Max HM); able to spot the pitch T61-63, 61-63 average rpm.
