5/15/18 - Cal State Fullerton commit. 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame with sloped shoulders on a large frame with a strong lower half and proportional strength with a high level of athleticism. Magrisi uses a short arc arm path from separation to delivery with above average arm speed and a consistent path from a ¾ slot. Magrisi uses a drop & drive delivery with quick & free hips and lands online consistently on the ball of his front foot before transferring his weight and generating his power and create downhill plane with medium effort. Magrisi shows a legitimate four-pitch mix with each pitch being at least average. The fastball touched 91 five times in this outing while sitting 88-90 throughout his outing and showing some arm side run as it enters the hitting zone with above average command. The curveball has power curveball characteristics with its hard, late break while working at 74-77 which he starts at the waistline of the hitters before seeing it drop out of the zone often resulting in weak contact. The slider, which Magrisi threw sparingly, is tilting with hard biting action at 79-81 and produce swing-and-miss results. Margrisi's changeup was exceptional in this outing and missed barrels often. The pitch comes out looking like the fastball before floating back over the plate inducing weak contact as hitters were way out in front on it. The pitch worked in the 72-76 range. At the plate Magrisi takes aggressive hacks and shows the ability to get the barrel on the ball consistently with gap-to-gap present power which could develop into over the fence power. However, his future is clearly on the mound.
