Physical: 5-10, 170-pounds; 7.39 runner in the 60 (7.17 at ID event), 4.12 30-yard split, 1.84 10-yard split, 26.6” vertical jump. Lean strength well-proportioned on average size frame.
Offensively: RHH. EV max – 92.7 mph, hard hit% - 50%, sweet spot% - 50%, line drive% - 40%, hand speed max – 23.4 mph, bat speed max – 72.7 mph, bat speed avg – 69.1 mph, on-plane efficiency avg – 51.5%; rotational acceleration avg – 11.7; Easy swing, maintains balance, feet just outside shoulders, very slightly open, even weight distribution, smooth stride under control, pulls hands straight back, at times one hand finish and other swings two hand finish, at best he’s driving the ball in the middle of the field.
Defensively: OF velo – 82-84 mph, INF velo – 83 mph. Reads ball well, creates clean angles, gets off consistently accurate throws, sure hands, catches ball out front which allows him to get legs into athletic throwing position, didn’t play 3B at this event but has shown himself to be a capable 3rd baseman as well, uses and trusts his athleticism on the defensive side of the game.
NorCal State Games ID: Taken as a collective whole, the stats, both traditional and more advanced, illuminate a player who is not only talented, but also played a big role in the success of his high school team, which won a section title in 2022. The arm is strong and accurate, the BP round showed not only good bat speed and EV, but also passed the eye test as he pounded ball after ball in the middle of the field, many to straightaway centerfield. The arm showed at both spots, though better (relative to the position) at 3rd base. The bat speed is well above average.
