USF commit. Another big winning on the day. Strong and athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds. Short arm action on throws to 2nd base with pop times 1.83-1.95. Above average transfer with quick release and accuracy on throws. Moves well laterally when blocking and receives well with strong hands. Balanced setup at the plate with strong lower half and leg kick to create rhythm tin the swing. Level bat path and gap to gap hitter with some pull side power. High ceiling with present tools and projectable frame.
5/25/19
Strong body coming in at 6 foot 1 inch and 200 pounds. Moves well behind the plate as a catcher, receives and blocks well. Has great accuracy with throws and really good exchange with his pop times sitting at 1.9-1.95. Has a long stride with a leg kick, but stays balanced when swinging. Uses the lower half well and explodes through the ball showing gap to gap with pull side power. Stays level with the bat path and has good bat speed with exit velocity of 90 mph.
2/11/19
St Leo commit. The lean, athletic 6-foot-1, 195 pound catcher might be the best defensive catcher in attendance. He has present ankle and hip flexibility, while remaining stable in receiving. He has soft hands and strong shoulder and consistently in good positions. The transfer is ideal, with a clean, quick glove turn and gets the ball in the air quickly, resulting in pop times 2.05-2.1. Offensively, he has a wide, strong base. With a small leg kick to gather and short, simple load, he has ability to get his foot down softly and on time. Clears the lower half well and stays compact while creating leverage and power. Overall, has a chance to be above average both defensively and offensively.
7/14/18
Committed to St. Leo University shortly after the event. Currently stands at 6-foot, 185 pounds with a physical, athletic frame. Showed an above average arm behind the plate with pop times in the 1.92-2.06 range. The hands and feet work very well, he is flexible and has all of the tools to be an above average catcher. Offensively, he took one of the loudest rounds of BP. Works with rhythm and showed present pull power and can see having above average power in the future. There is upside both defensively and at the plate.
