7/28/22

Lewis, a 5-foot-11, 160-pound athletic outfielder ran one of the best 60’s among Canadians at 6.66. Lewis played for Bo Jackson Elite this summer and got consistent reps against high-level competition. The present tool is the speed but there’s lots to like and work with in his game as he continues to fill out and mature.

6/13/22

OF/SS, (2024) Bishop Macdonell, ON. 5-foot-11, 158-pound lean athletic frame. Solid during batting practice, Lewis best exit velocity was 88 mph. Started in a balanced tall stance with a controlled compact load, then used a small stride. Bat speed is present, uses a simple level swing plane and high finish. He barreled up multiple balls during the round. Line drive gap to gap approach. Solid from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 81 mph; had a packing exchange, sure hands, and smooth consistent footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. Showed an-over-the-top slot and a quick arm action. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.95.

3/13/22

Lewis, 5-foot-11, 155-pounds, swung it well at the dish. Crushed balls on the middle half, and took pitches on the outside the other way. Has a hit tool that will play at the next level. Lewis flew in the 60 running a 6.61. He showed good actions in the field and moved well, finishing with a 74 mph INF velo. Lewis has feel for the game and is an interesting prospect in the ‘24 class.

12/19/21

This was our first look at Lewis since the Jr. Future Games and the swing improved in that short time. The 5-foot-10, 148-pound middle infielder has bat speed from the right-side and the hands are direct to the ball. Gap-to-gap hitter with plenty of room to add strength without hindering his athleticism or speed. One of the toolsiest 2024s in the province and looked that part on Sunday.

2021 Jr. Future Games
Liam Lewis’, a 2024 shortstop from the Fieldhouse Pirates, had his tools on full display at Wednesday’s Scout Day starting with his 6.68 60-time. It’s a quick bat from the right-side and his bat to ball skills showed today, picking up a pair of hard hit singles. He moves well in all areas of his game and played third base on Thursday with no issues. The tools are exciting and with his consistent hard contact, you know the power will come for the 5-foot-10, 148-pounder.
