Competed and turned in a quality outing once again in the first game of the weekend. Went three innings pitched, scattered three hits, no runs, struck out two and walked one. Ran his fastball up to 78 mph, worked both sides of the plate and kept hitters guessing throughout with a steady mix of curveballs; above-average feel, thrown with conviction, late, short bite at times off a 1/7 plane. Strike-throwing, competitive left-handed pitcher in the Illinois’ 2023 class.
