Uncommitted senior. 6-foot-4, 180-pound right-handed starting pitcher, long and lean frame, wiry and long levered. Started and finished with a line of: 5 IP, H, 0 R, 4 K, BB. Tall at balance, uses height, leg swings out in-line to home, toe strikes open, athletic finish. Loose arm action throughout, some length with show on back side, clean high ¾ slot, effort is rather easy, maintained arm speed on most offerings, showed a four pitch mix. Fastball worked straight, occasional cut/pull to glove side, came out easy, showed ability to elevate in situations that dictated, 83-85 mph. Slider thrown hard, 10/4 shape with tight break, flashed late action, 79-80 mph, used as final pitch for two of his K’s. Curveball is distinctly different than the slider, 11/5 shape, some depth and early break, loopy at times, 11/5 shape, 70-71 mph Changeup was used sparingly, flashed vertical depth, 75 mph.

6.13.17 - 6-foot-4, 170-pound, lanky right-handed pitcher. Works from middle of the rubber, loose arm action from a high-¾ slot. Uphill shoulders, in line direction, soft front foot, square landing, athletic finish. Fastball sat 79-80, topping at 81, thrown for strikes. Curveball, 70-73 mph, sharp 11-5 action, maintains similar arm speed, thrown for strikes. Changeup sat 74-76, maintains similar arm speed, tendency to pull the pitch.
