Body: 6-foot-2, 183-pounds. Long athletic frame.
Hit: RHH. Tall setup, balanced, short stride with subtle lift. Uphill path with bat speed, aggressive swings, pull side power approach.
Power: 94 mph exit velocity from the tee. Above average power, ball jumped off the bat to pull side at times, attacks the baseball.
Arm: RH. C - 77 mph. Short arm action, over the top slot.
Defense: 2.11-2.19 pop times. Short footwork, deliberate out of the crouch, clean exchange.Solid receiver, sets up square with low target, soft hands, stays quiet.
Run: 7.03 runner in the 60. Long strided runner, above average.


Started for Naperville Renegades in their 15-1 win over STARTERS 17U. Petsche featured a fastball that ran up to 84 mph and primarily sat between 81-83 mph with life, while showing the ability to throw it on either side of the plate. His best overall offering was a breaking ball that sat between 71-73 mph with real swing-and-miss actions and clear feel for the pitch. He tossed five innings of one-run ball, striking out eight and walking none in a dominant performance by the right-hander.

2.19.18 - 6-foot-1, 170 pound, long-limbed, lanky, right-handed hitting, two-way prospect. At the plate, spread, balanced setup, small toe tap trigger, smooth load. Aggressively attacks the ball, uphill path, quick bat and creates natural lift throughout. Occasional hard contact and exit velocity topping 89 mph off a tee. Defensively popped 2.10-2.26 down to second. Gains ground to second, clean exchange, long arm out of a high ¾ slot. Throws topped 77 mph down. Ran a 7.34 laser timed 60. On the mound, rocker step delivery, tall and fall style, works in line and lands square to home. Long, loose arm action with a high ¾ slot, some rhythm throughout. Fastball had slight run, in the zone, sat 77-78 mph. Slider, 11/5 shape, flashed depth, 70-73 mph. Changeup maintained arm speed, faded at 73-76 mph.

2.18.19 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed hitting catcher, thin and athletic frame. At the plate, balanced at setup, smooth load, short toe tap trigger. Line drive hitter, whippy bat path stays level through the hitting zone, aggressive approach with pull tendencies. Quick bat speed with rhythm, exit velocity topped 95 mph from a tee. Defensively, pop times ranged 2.00-2.12. Steady hands, gains ground and follows through. Short and high arm action out of a high ¾ slot, throws topped 76 mph from the crouch. 7.17 runner in the 60.
