5/20/13 - Illinois commit. Ranked No. 15 in Illinois and No. 73 overall. Strong build, large frame, 6-foot-3, 215-pound left handed hitting catcher. Athletic swing, shows advanced bat speed, big pull side pop. Doesn’t get cheated at the plate, strong left handed bat with a pull side approach.

6/14/12 Drago is a 6-foot-1, 205-pounder who looks to be the most powerful left-handed hitter in the Class of 2013.  Drago starts from an open stance and has an aggressive approach with impressive barrel whip through the zone. He showed plus pull-side power, driving balls deep in the right center gap. The ball jumps off his bat with backspin carry and loft. Additionally, Drago had a best pop time of 2.07 and was clocked at 75 mph from the crouch.
Drago is an athletically built 6-foot, 170-pound athlete who looks to be one of the premier left-handed hitters in the Class of 2013. Drago hits with an open stance, and remains balanced and explosive throughout. He has tremendous looseness in his swing, and creates impressive barrel whip through the zone. The ball jumps off his bat with excellent backspin carry. Drago's power projects at a high level. Defensively, Drago's top pop time was a 2.07. This athletically built 6-foot, 175-pound left-handed hitting catcher was clearly one of the most impressive offensive players at the event. Drago has an easy, athletic left-handed swing, and showcased plus pull power. Drago generates a lot of bat speed, and ball explodes off his bat with impressive backspin carry. Defensively, Drago continued to impress. His 2.01 pop times were on the glove-side of the bag, all strikes. He also shined during bullpens, as he exhibited athletic feet, soft hands and sits low in the zone. Drago looks to be one of the top all-around catchers in the Class of 2013.
