Verbally committed to Evansville.

4/26/19

Uncommitted junior, currently ranked No. 77 in the Illinois’ 2020 class. 6-foot-1, 180-pound, right-handed hitting multi-positional player; athletic build, carries strength throughout frame. Started at third base and moved behind the plate in the middle of the game. Talented and athletic enough to profile at both positions moving forward. At third base, sure-handed, fluid footwork, plays with a motor and maintains body control on the move. Strong arm, carries across the diamond (89 mph at a previous event). Behind the plate, ability to stick pitches in the zone, natural catcher actions, clean out of the chute, arm plays true with carry. Offensively, hits in the three-hole, middle-of-the-order type of bat at the next level. Athletic, confident look in the box, fluid rhythm, recognizes spin, understands the strike zone, stays within himself and uses the whole field. Loose, fast hands, creates whip through the zone. Finished 1-for-3 with a walk, three RBI’s and a run scored. High-follow 2020 prospect.

2.18.19 - 6-foot-1, 180-pound, right-handed hitting infielder; strong, muscular, well-proportioned frame. Offensively, confident look in the box. Balanced setup, smooth early loading action, short leg-hang timing trigger and maintains balance through contact. Strong, fast hands, present bat speed and bat strength. Uphill bat path, consistent hard gap-to-gap contact and fluid rhythm throughout. 91 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, quick feet, plays on the balls of his feet, sure-handed, clean transfer and plays through the baseball. Quick, live arm, high ¾ slot, throws had life and carry across the diamond, topped at 89 mph. 7.15 runner in the 60, laser-timed. Follow 2020 prospect.

9.9.17 - Right-handed hitting catcher with a large, strong frame. Strong arm behind the plate, threw out three would be base stealers in game. Pops ranged 2.12-2.19. Good flexibility in the lower half, sets up low target for pitchers. Upright setup at the plate, short, uphill swing path.
