Arizona State commit. Currently ranked No. 17 in the IL 2019 class. 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed pitcher, well-proportioned and athletic. Started against Stagg finishing with a line: 5 IP, 2 H (both singles), 0 R, 5 K, 3 BB (49 of 85 pitches for strikes). Rhythm in delivery, pitches with stern actions and conviction, easy effort. Sturdy at balance, slight crunch at waist, strides slightly across body adding deception, toe strikes closed, controlled finish. Short and loose arm action, hides from hitter, quick and effortless arm speed, high ¾ slot, gets out front, ball comes out easy. 1.26-1.29 to home out of the stretch. Pitch count rose early as he fell deep into counts (9 for 20 first pitch strikes). Fastball showed easy life with signs of more in the tank, sat 87-89 mph, topped 90 mph, seemed to take off for a 2-seamer with more run at 85 mph. Worked outside corner to both LHH and RHH, only pitched inside with the off speed. Curveball, 11/5 shape with depth and sharpness, 71 mph and can bury it. Slider had tighter spin on a 10/4 plane, late bite with conviction, go to off speed, 77-78 mph. Repertoire will more than play at the next level.

Arizona State commit. Currently ranked No. 17 in the Illinois’ 2019 class. First start of the year and was on a pitch-count. Went two innings, scattered two hits, no runs, no walks and struck out three. Short, clean and quick arm action from a high ¾ slot. Smooth delivery, worked with ease and confidence. Fastball, hard two-seam action, thrown for strikes, bored in on right-handed hitters at times, occasional sink, sat 89-92 mph, touching multiple 92’s. Mixed in a curveball and a slider, both with distinct shape and action. Slider, thrown aggressively, 10/4 shape, swing and miss action, sat 80-81 mph. Curveball, thrown early in counts, 11/5 shape, depth, tight spin, 74-76 mph. Impressive first outing of the year.

2.11.18 - Arizona State commit. 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed pitcher, athletic build. Delivery starts with side rocker step, repeatable tempo into balance point, shoulders stays level, slightly higher front side, front foot lands squared slightly to open side. Plus arm speed out of loose action on full circle with little effort, high ¾ slot. Fastball worked in the zone with arm side run, sat at 90 mph,  topped at 92 mph, used a two-seam at 88-90 mph. Curveball plays 12/6, 72-74 mph, sharp action. Slider has later action, 11/5 plane, 80-83 mph. Changeup plays with hard sink and fade, good feel, power action, 83-85 mph.

4.22.17 - Arizona State commit. Currently ranked No. 13 in the in the 2019 Illinois’ class. 6-foot, 160-pound, athletically built right-handed pitcher. Started and went 6.1 innings on the mound. Scattered five hits, two earned runs, struck out seven and walked three. Went to his slider often, aggressive, throws it with intent, sharp, tight spin, advanced pitch for his age, got plenty of swings and misses on it; 76-78 mph. Only threw a couple changeups, good arm speed, ranged between 75-79 mph.

4.1.17 - Arizona State recruit. Currently ranked No. 14 in the Illinois 2019 class. 6-foot-1, 160-pound, well-proportioned, right-handed pitcher. Started on the mound and got the win for the Celtics. Went 4.1 innings, scattered two hits, one earned run, struck out two and walked three. Works fast, good mound composure and presence for age. Quick, athletic arm action. Fastball sat 84-86 mph, arm-side-run with his two-seamer. Went to his offspeed more in the later innings. Changeup, maintains arm-speed, pronates, locates down in the zone, 77-81 mph. Slider, thrown aggressively, tight spin, late 10/4 action, 79-80 mph.

3.24.17 - Arizona State commit. 6-foot-1, 160-pound right-handed pitcher. Delivery works slightly to open side, high ¾ slot. Showed a full repertoire of pitches, ability to change speeds and locations with multiple pitches. Used a four and two seam fastball, both showed similar action with slightly more sink from two-seamer. Two-seam played at 82 mph, four-seam topped at 86 mph, sat 84-85 mph. Slider thrown hard at 77-79 mph, later action that was used to expand the strike zone, 10/4 with depth, occasional downer action. Curveball was softer and used more to drop for strikes, ranged 64-70 mph. Also showed a changeup with arm side fade, 76-78 mph.

1.15.17 - Arizona State commit. 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed pitcher, lean athletic frame. Delivery works slightly to open side, some effort. Arm action is quick and loose, high ¾ slot. Fastball has hard late life, sat 85-86 mph, touched 87 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape, sharp action, plus potential, 68-70 mph. Slider has 10/4 shape, occasional back up action. Changeup thrown with near fastball arm action, fades to arm side, thrown aggressively, 76-79 mph. High ceiling right-handed arm, quick arm with plus potential breaking ball.
