5.8.17 - Illinois State commit. Currently ranked No. 26 in the Illinois Class of 2017. Works from a ¾ arm angle with a short arm circle in the back. Tall and fall delivery with a closed landing. Some effort in release with a slight head snap. Fastball worked 86-89 mph. Slider has sweeping action at 75-80 mph, worked mostly up in the zone. Changeup sat 80-81 mph with downer action.
5.26.16 - Illinois State commit. Wiry frame, 6-foot-1, 155-pound right-handed pitcher, live loose body. Short quick arm action, high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 87-89 mph, lacked command, showed life in the hitting zone, misses were typically up and to the arm side. Slider has flat, lateral action, sweeping type, ranged 74-80 mph, looks more cutter when thrown harder, swing and miss potential pitch.
5.20.16 - Illinois State commit. Ranked No. 55 in the Illinois 2017 class. 6-foot-1, 155-pound, wiry, projectable, right-handed pitcher with a high ceiling. Velocity and stuff has taken a step forward. Increased pitch-ability and flashed a firmer breaking ball in his start against Neuqua Valley. Slightly coiled delivery, some rhythm, works slightly across his body and finishes athletically. Clean, quick and loose arm action out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball flashed late life, thrown for strikes throughout, able to get in on right-handed hitters at times; sat mainly 86-88 mph, touching 89 multiple times and 90 once. Slider, 10/4 sweeping action, settled in, got better and more confident with it as the outing progressed; Velocity varied greatly depending on the count, 73-80 mph, more 77-80 mph with two strikes, occasionally flashing late action. Flashed one changeup at 82 mph, straight action. Live armed right-hander with projectable frame and high ceiling.
11.19.15 - Verbally committed to Illinois State.
Future Games 2015 - Wiry 6-foot-1, 155-pound right-handed pitcher features a strong arm that has a lot of potential. His fastball had been 86-88 mph at a previous PBR event, at the Future Games he was more 83-86 mph and touched 87. Even though his velocity was a tick down he flashed some tilt and arm-side-run on his fastball. Features a breaking ball that ranged between 70-74 mph. The breaking ball should tighten up if it is consistently thrown with fastball arm speed. Peplow also mixed in a change-up at 73-75 mph. Struck out one and induced a 4-6-3 double play in his two innings of work.
7.15.15 - 6-foot-1, 155-pound, lanky build, two-way player, right-handed hitter. On the mound showed a tall-and-fall delivery, short arm action, high ¾ arm slot, smooth rhythm, landing square. Fastball showed good life, arm-side-run, 86-88 mph. Curveball had 10/4 shape, sweeping action, 67-69 mph. Slider had sharp late break, 72-74 mph. Changeup showed some arm-side-fade, 76-80 mph. Defensively displayed average hands, quick, fluid footwork, clean exchange, plays through the ball. Short arm action, high ¾ arm action, with accuracy, 87 across the infield. Hits from a crouched stance, short stride, average balance. Average bat speed, level bat path, line-drive approach, 84 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.12 60-time.
