6/06/23

RHP/C Daniel Willner (Deerfield, 2025) stood out behind the plate at the event showing athleticism out of the crouch and quick transfers with pop times ranging from 1.99-2.10 (an event best), as well as an event-high 81 mph arm from the crouch. Willner has strength in his left-handed swing and also impressed on the mound, working with three pitches including a fastball that jumped out of the hand, topping out at 87.1 mph. Willner’s off-speed consisted of two different breaking balls including a sharp-downer curve, and a developing slider with 11/5 shape.

6/08/22

Daniel Willner (Deerfield, 2025) is a strong-bodied right-hander standing 5-foot-10, 175-pounds. His arm is quick and produced a fastball in the 82-84 mph range, topping out at 85 mph. His best secondary offering during his ‘pen was a sharp 11/5 breaking ball at 67-72 mph, showing depth to the bottom of the zone. He also showed some feel for a changeup with slight fade, 72-73 mph.
