C/RHP Donald Timon (Mascoutah) cemented himself as a high-follow uncommitted prospect in the state’s 2023 class. Timon broke out on day one, starting by popping a 1.86-to-1.89 in his workout while topping at 79 mph from the crouch. Timon’s arm strength showed in-game, where he repeatedly uncorked true throws with backspin and carry to his target in between innings. He also impressed offensively, barreling a few balls to the pull-side during his three game showing. Towards the end of the week, Timon hopped on the bump and sat 86-89 mph with his fastball, spinning his heater at 2,467 RPM on average. Timon also spun a low-70s curveball at a 2,456 RPM average and while he’s still developing full feel for his arsenal on the mound, he’s certainly an intriguing follow there, too.
