3/19/16 - Oakland Commit. Left/left, 5-foot-11, 170-pound, athletic shape, two-way prospect. Played CF and hit 3-hole for the Bengals in the first game of the weekend. Showed off his defensive prowess throughout the game; tracked a ball down and made a full-extension diving play in deep right-center field to save two runs in the top of the 5th. Easy, fluid runner and athletic outfield actions. At the plate, athletic, open setup position. Quick stroke, short path to the baseball; line-drive, gap-to-gap approach. Ran a 4.30 and 4.39 on two groundouts.

8/21/15 - Verbally committed to Oakland University.

4/10/14 - Sophomore lefty showed poise despite struggling giving up five runs, three earned, in three innings of work. 5-foot-11, 160 pounder athletically built. Struck out three and walked one.  Balanced, deliberate delivery and tempo. Short arm action comes out of ¾ slot. Picks arm up with his elbow, climbs above his shoulder, but hand still gets on top of the baseball. Was able to locate to his arm side, and 77-80 mph fastball showed arm side run when down in the zone.  Struggled to pitch in on right handed hitters to his glove side, but also did not attempt to come in very often. Stride direction comes at home plate, but lands slightly closed on plant foot, and spins on heel limiting extension. This may be a reason he struggles to get out front and locate to his glove hand side. Change was thrown at 72-74. Utilized 68-70 mph sweeping curveball. Was not afraid to throw this in any count, and threw it for strikes 2-0 and 3-1. Out of the stretch showed the ability to hold runners well, and mix up leg kicks and looks. Controlled the running game well. Good athlete fields his position well.

7/23/13 - High level athlete, multi-faceted game, 5-foot-10, 160-pound left handed two-way player. DeMumbrum is a high level athlete who has a knack for the game. Plays at an easy pace, highly productive, dynamic. On the mound his delivery is clean and athletic, smooth up tempo delivery, regular to easy effort. Arm action is loose, shows quick arm action from a high ¾ slot. Fastball flashed sink at 77-79 mph while showing control of the strike zone. Breaking ball works on 11/5 plane, flashing sweeping action, slurve feel, 66-67 mph. Defensively shows excellent actions in the outfield, natural reactions, showed excellent hands. Arm action is long and over the top, showed excellent accuracy with occasional carry, 80 mph arm strength from the outfield. Hits from the left side, slightly open stance, short stride. Quiet simple approach, high contact hitter, bat path is short and quick to the baseball. Shows excellent foot speed getting out of the box, 4.11 down the line. DeMumbrum proved to be one of the bigger sleepers of the event, he showed that he can play at a high level with high level competition.
