10.18.15 - Projectable, well-proportioned 6-foot-3, 175-pound right-handed hitting infielder and outfielder. Bertrand was one of the top performers at the event. Showed off a combination of plus tools across the board. Ran a 6.79 laser-timed 60, 86 mph across the infield, 90 mph from the outfield and a 91 mph exit velocity. Offensively, extremely easy bat speed. Fluid rhythm, explosive hands, strength through contact and the ball jumps off of the bat. Displayed pull power during his round of batting practice. Short, level bat path through the hitting zone. Balanced setup, short stride, god use of lower half and good balance through contact. Defensively, showed athletic actions in the infield and outfield. Comfortable at third base, good body control, soft hands and athletic arm action. Accurate throws with carry. In the outfield, easy arm with carry and true flight. Quick and fluid footwork, soft hands, athletic fielding position, playing through the baseball and accurate throws. Impressive athlete and one of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2017 Class. Should be a high follow moving forward.

1.18.15 - 6-foot-2, 170-pound strong and athletic right-handed hitting OF/3B hits from a balanced setup, hands load back smoothly, short stride, short, level bat path, barrel looks to stay level through the zone for a long time, 87 mph exit velocity with easy effort. Defensively, impresses both in the outfield and at third. Throws 84 mph from the outfield from long, loose, high ¾ arm slot with accuracy and carry, soft hands fielding the ball, fluid footwork. At third, shows plus carry, shortens up arm action a bit, may profile better at third base, but versatility will be an asset. Ran a 7.22 60. Bertrand is one of the most physical athletes in the 2017 class and will be a high follow prospect over the next three seasons.

10.26.14 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound lanky, athletic, projectable right-handed hitting outfielder/middle infielder hits from a square setup, short stride, balanced throughout swing, short, level bat path produced line drives from gap-to-gap during batting practice with 78 mph exit velocity off the tee. Defensively, threw 86 mph from the outfield from short, high ¾ to ¾ arm slot. Arm slot fits more in the infield. Impressed defensively at short, but may be a third baseman if he outgrows the middle of the diamond. Threw 85 mph from short across the diamond with soft hands, quick and fluid footwork, plays through the baseball. Ran a 6.98 60. Bertand is a high follow prospect in the class of 2017.
