Evan Niernberg (Mundelein, 2024) and Dylan Cran (Lake Forest, 2026) were two of the more polished defensive catchers of the day. Niernberg has a 6-foot-1, 185-pound, strong, well-proportioned frame, ran a 7.25 60 and recorded a low pop time of 2.05.
